Statistics: Share of loss-making firms rises to 28.3% in Jan–Oct

MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- The share of Russia’s loss-making companies widened by 1.2 percentage points on the year to 28.3% in January–October, the Federal State Statistic Service said on Wednesday.

The share of companies running at a loss in mineral resource development amounted to 32.4%, in the processing industry to 21.3%, and in the construction industry to 26.7%.

The share of loss-making firms in wholesale and retail trade, repair of vehicles and motorcycles stood at 17.3%, in agriculture, hunting and fishing at 18.2%. In the real estate and property sector it amounted to 32.6%.
